- A Malaysian converter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM on receiving offers for US LLDPE Film C4 cargoes with shipment from China via a trader. Compared to offers received on June 5, the current offers are $60/ton higher, stand at $830/ton on LC at sight, CIF Malaysia main port basis. The trader informed the converter that the storage cost in China is high, hence, the company needs to move some cargoes from warehouses in the country. However, the converter suspected that the trader’s actual reason for moving cargoes from China is due to slow demand in China. The converter has not decided whether to purchase the cargoes or not.
- A trader in Vietnam revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that the company increased offers for localized LDPE Film cargoes of various origins between VND1,000,000-1,500,000/ton ($43-64/ton) compared to last week. Cargoes from Saudi and Malaysia were available between VND27,300,000-27,500,000/ton ($1,168-1,176/ton) and VND27,500,000/ton ($1,176/ton) respectively on cash, FD Vietnam basis and including 10% VAT. However, buyers gave negative responses towards the offers as other traders in the country are still offering LDPE Film from both origins around VND25,500,000/ton ($1,091/ton)-level with the same payment and delivery term.
