American engineering company ECI Group will provide technology, design, and training for Shandong Yulong Petrochemical’s planned Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) plant. Under the agreement, ECI Group will also provide support through the plant’s commissioning, start-up, and production phases. ECI Group has selected Spanish energy company Repsol as its technology partner in the project. The new 200,000 tons/year unit is part of Yulong Petrochemical’s 20 million tons/year integrated refining and petrochemical project in Shandong, China. It will use high-pressure autoclave technology. ECI Group said its EVA plant design offers significant improvements in the product range, reliability, and expandability. It is also optimized to utilize modern materials, design techniques, standards, and industry best practices for construction, operation, and maintenance.
