TotalEnergies and its partners Plastic Energy Ltd. and Freepoint Eco-Systems LLC will build an advanced recycling plant in Texas, US.
The plant will transform end-of-life plastic waste into a recycled feedstock called TACOIL using Plastic Energy’s patented technology. TotalEnergies will convert 33,000 tpa of the raw material into food-grade, virgin-quality polymers.
The plant is expected to become operational by mid-2024.
