On Monday, sources familiar with plant operations said that Royal Dutch Shell Plc is planning to restart a production unit at its 230,611 bpd Norco, Louisiana, refinery in the mid of October.
The company did not reply to a request for comment.
At the moment, Shell is working to restart the refinery’s boiler starting from the weekend.
Previously, the refinery was shut on August 28 ahead of the landfall of Hurricane Ida. Then, the facility was flooded and damaged by the storm.
