On Thursday, ExxonMobil announced its plans to expand the carbon capture capacity and storage (CCS) at its facility in LaBarge, Wyoming.
The expansion would add the capture of 1 million tpa of carbon dioxide from the existing 6-7 million tons.
The project’s investment was at USD400 million and is estimated to complete in 2022 to begin operation as early as 2025. The company has begun the process for engineering, procurement, and construction contracts for the project.
